The Wasters Are The Brothers Of The Shaithaan (22/04/2013)
Your Lord knoweth best what is in your hearts: If ye do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence). (17:25)
- This ayah is saying that whatever deeds you have done is known to Allah and that Allah will forgive you if you turn to him in repentance.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “I swear by Him in whose hand is my soul, if you were a people who did not commit sin, Allah would take you away and replace you with a people who would sin and then seek Allah’s forgiveness so He could forgive them.” [Sahīh Muslim (2687)]
You have to stop the act.
You have to feel remorse for the act.
If you don't feel remorse you repentance is fake.
The best time to repent is the last third of the night when Allah descends.
You need to seek forgiveness from the person you've wronged.
Allah won't forgive you until the person you've wronged has forgiven you.
You should ask Allah to forgive you and promise Allah not to repeat the act.
You should make your taubah before your death rattles.
You need to make taubah before the Sun rises from the west.
You need to make taubah before the dajjal appears.
And render to the kindred their due rights, as (also) to those in want, and to the wayfarer: But squander not (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. (17:26)
This is the case because Allah is Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem and Al-Ghafoor.
When you spend on something that is unnecessary, you are a squanderer.
Owning a Mercedes Benz and then buying a BMW unnecessarily is squandering money.
A lot of money is spent on car insurance.
Car insurance is haraam.
Kaafirs are extorting people's money through car insurance.
The excuse that is given is that you get a different feeling when driving a BMW compared to a Mercedes Benz.
The scholars of Islam say that the squanderer (in 17:36) is the one who wastes his money on haraam.
They waste their money to smoke weed and ganja (cannabis).
People waste their money by buying alcoholic beverages.
You are a squanderer when you use your wealth to drink alcohol, take drugs, gamble in casinos and chase girls.
Squanderers boast about the amount of money they waste.
He says (boastfully): "I have wasted wealth in abundance!" Chapter (90) sūrat l-balad (The City) 6
Verily, spendthrifts are brothers of the Shayatin (devils), and the Shaitan (Devil Satan) is ever ungrateful to his Lord. Chapter (17) sūrat l-isrā (The Night Journey) 27
A bipolar person likes to waste money.
A bipolar person is in a good mood at one moment and in a bad mood at another moment.
A bipolar person suffers from mood swings.
A con artists looks out for a bipolar person when they are in a happy mood to scam them out of their money.
And give not unto the foolish your property which Allah has made a means of support for you, but feed and clothe them therewith, and speak to them words of kindness and justice. Chapter (4) sūrat l-nisāa (The Women) 5
The foolish is referring to a child who hasn't reached the age of puberty or an adult who has a serious weakness such as spending a lot of his wealth in casinos.
A fool and his money will soon depart.
The foolish also refers to people with a serious personality disorder, people with a weakness for pubbing and clubbing and people who chase girls.
Verily, spendthrifts are brothers of the Shayatin (devils), and the Shaitan (Devil Satan) is ever ungrateful to his Lord. Chapter (17) sūrat l-isrā (The Night Journey) Chapter (17) sūrat l-isrā (The Night Journey) 27
Allah is saying that the shaithaan is very wasteful and ungrateful.
Every single kaafir is ungrateful.
People claim Jesus is God even though Allah gave them food and water.
Allah is jealous.
...By Allah, I am more jealous of my honour than he, and Allah is more jealous than I... [Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 3572]
Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah becomes jealous and His jealousy is provoked when the believers approach what He has made unlawful.[Sahih Bukhari, Book 62, Number 150]
When people waste their time, they become old without achieving anything.
People waste away their time, money and health.
They waste away their health with drugs and alcohol.
Allah has jealousy and the dayouth (man with no jealousy) will never go to jannah
Abdullah ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Three people will not enter paradise and Allah will not look to them on the Day of Judgment: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the woman who imitates men and the ad-Dayooth (cuckold, weak man who feels no jealousy over his womenfolk)..." [Musnad Ahmad (2/134) No. 6180, Musnad al-Bazzar (12/270) No. 6051, al-Sunnan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (2/63) No. 2354, al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (3/51) No. 2443]
If a person comes begging to you and you don't have enough money to give them you should turn them away with nice words.
And if you (O Muhammad SAW) turn away from them (kindred, poor, wayfarer, etc. whom We have ordered you to give their rights, but if you have no money at the time they ask you for it) and you are awaiting a mercy from your Lord for which you hope, then, speak unto them a soft kind word (i.e. Allah will give me and I shall give you). Chapter (17) sūrat l-isrā (The Night Journey) 28
Muslim recorded from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said: (There is no day when a person wakes up but two angels come down from heaven. One of them says, `O Allah, compensate the one who gives (in charity),' and the other one says, `O Allah, destroy the one who withholds.')''
To shun such a person with harsh words is rubbing salt in the wound
When Abu Bakr was feeding poor people and Abu Jahl passed by in his fancy clothes, he asked Abu Bakr why he was feeding them.
Abu Jahl said that if Allah wished He would have fed those poor people.
Abu Bakr replied that those who have wealth should feed those who are poor.
Abu Jahl refused to accept Islam because he didn't want to give his money to the poor.
And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." Chapter (36) sūrat yā sīn 47
Narrated by Abu HurairaThe Prophet said, "Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.' [Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2.522]
It took 70 camels to transport the keys to Qaroun’s treasures.
Qaroun didn't praise Allah for his wealth even once
Qaroun was jealous of Musa so he paid a prostitute to say she had an affair with Musa.
That was the straw that broke the camel's back so Allah intervened and destroyed Qaroun.
Musa prayed two rakah and asked Allah for help.
Musa wanted Qaroun to be swallowed by the earth.
Musa wasn't satisfied with that alone and asked Allah for the palace of Qaroun to be swallowed by the earth as well.
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. It was related by al-Bukhari. . (hadith Qudsi)
And let not your hand be tied (like a miser) to your neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach (like a spendthrift), so that you become blameworthy and in severe poverty. Chapter (17) sūrat l-isrā (The Night Journey) 29
The other ayah is 25:67. The Quran resembles itself.
And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two;Chapter (25) sūrat l-fur'qān (The Criterion) 67 [Pickhall]
You shouldn't be a spiritualist or a materialist. You should strike a balance between the two because we are from the balanced nation.
Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) be a witness over you. Chapter (2) sūrat l-baqarah (The Cow) 143
Truly, your Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills and straitens (for whom He wills). Verily, He is Ever All-Knower, All-Seer of His slaves. Chapter (17) sūrat l-isrā (The Night Journey) 30
Allah is Ar Razaaq (the Sustainer) and Al Wahaab ( the Provider)
When Mariam was in her private domain and fruits came to her out of their rightful season Zakarriya was shocked.
Mariam said that Allah provides for whom He wills without measure.
So her Lord (Allah) accepted her with goodly acceptance. He made her grow in a good manner and put her under the care of Zakariya (Zachariya). Every time he entered Al-Mihrab to (visit) her , he found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Maryam (Mary)! From where have you got this?" She said, "This is from Allah." Verily, Allah provides sustenance to whom He wills, without limit." Chapter (3) sūrat āl ʿim'rān (The Family of Imrān) 37
The people of Makkah were asking why Allah would bless Muhammad with prophethood and not Al waleed ibn Mugheera.
But Allah chooses for His Mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty. Chapter (2) sūrat l-baqarah (The Cow) 105
